Agreement
These Terms and Conditions together with any separate engagement letter or service agreement entered into between you and Pikul Family.
Service
Legal consultation, counsel, representation, and related professional services provided by Pikul Family, as described on this website and in any engagement documentation.
User / You
Any person who accesses this website, submits an enquiry, or engages Pikul Family for Services.
We / Us / Our
Pikul Family, located at 312 Huay Kaew Road, Suthep, Mueang, Chiang Mai 50200, Thailand.
Content
All text, imagery, documents, written advice, summaries, and other materials published on this website or provided to you in the course of a Service engagement.
Confidential Information
Any personal, financial, or legal information disclosed by either party in the course of a consultation or engagement, which is not publicly available.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website, submitting a contact enquiry, or engaging our Services, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age or have the legal capacity to enter binding agreements in your jurisdiction.
  • You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  • Where you act on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you have the authority to bind that entity to this Agreement.
  • You acknowledge that browsing this website or making an enquiry does not itself create a solicitor-client relationship; such a relationship arises only upon execution of a formal engagement.

3. Service Description

Pikul Family provides family law services primarily to clients located in or connected to Thailand. Our principal Services currently include:

First Conversation Appointment

An extended initial consultation for clients approaching family legal matters for the first time, concluding with a written summary and guidance on available next steps.

Child Support and Maintenance Counsel

Legal counsel addressing financial arrangements for children, including drafting of agreements, submissions, and representation through any required proceedings.

Family Court Representation

Full representation in formal family court proceedings, including case preparation, pleadings, witness statements, and attendance at hearings.

Service availability is subject to practitioner scheduling. We do not commit to specific timelines unless separately agreed in writing.

4. User Responsibilities

When using this website or engaging our Services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information when making an enquiry or engaging a Service.
  • Inform us promptly of any changes to information relevant to your matter.
  • Cooperate reasonably with our practitioners in the conduct of your matter.
  • Not use this website or our Services for any unlawful purpose or in any manner that could harm third parties.

Prohibited conduct includes but is not limited to:

  • Submitting false or misleading information in connection with any enquiry or engagement.
  • Attempting to access any part of our systems or content without authorisation.
  • Using content from this website for commercial redistribution without prior written consent.
  • Interfering with the proper operation of the website or related services.

5. Intellectual Property

6. Payment Terms

Service fees are quoted in Thai Baht (฿) and are as set out on our website or in your engagement documentation. Current published fees are:

Fees are due at the time of booking or as specified in your engagement letter. Accepted payment methods are confirmed at the time of engagement. All fees are quoted inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

Cancellation and refunds: If you wish to cancel an appointment, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice or non-attendance may result in the forfeiture of any deposit or prepaid fee. Refund requests are considered on a case-by-case basis having regard to the work already performed.

For ongoing matters, fees beyond the initial appointment are agreed separately and set out in the engagement documentation.

7. Engagement Terms

A formal solicitor-client engagement with Pikul Family commences only upon:

  • Execution of a written engagement letter; and
  • Receipt of any required initial payment.

The scope of each engagement is set out in the engagement letter. We will discuss with you any changes in scope, costs, or timeline that arise as the matter develops, so that you can make informed decisions at each stage.

Confidentiality obligations arise from the commencement of any formal engagement and are governed by applicable professional conduct rules and the terms of your engagement letter.

8. Disclaimers

The content of this website is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. It does not create a solicitor-client relationship. You should not rely on website content as a substitute for personalised legal advice relevant to your specific circumstances.

While we take care to keep information current, we make no representations that the content is accurate, complete, or up to date at any particular time, and we accept no responsibility for reliance on website content in the absence of a formal engagement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Pikul Family's liability to you in connection with this website or any Service is limited to the fees paid by you for the specific Service giving rise to the claim.

We exclude liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including but not limited to loss of income, loss of opportunity, or legal consequences arising from decisions made based on website content viewed outside a formal engagement.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or for any matter that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Thai law or applicable professional conduct rules.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Pikul Family, its practitioners, and staff harmless from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from:

  • Your breach of these Terms and Conditions;
  • Your misuse of this website or our Services; or
  • Any false or misleading information you provide to us.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate a service engagement by providing written notice in accordance with the engagement letter. Upon termination:

  • Any fees for work performed to the date of termination remain payable.
  • We will return your documents and files in accordance with our file management obligations.
  • Obligations of confidentiality survive termination.

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue a service engagement where professional conduct rules so require, including in circumstances of actual or potential conflict of interest.

12. Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Chiang Mai Province, Thailand.

Before commencing any formal proceedings, we encourage both parties to seek resolution through direct communication. Please contact us at [email protected] to raise any concern, and we will endeavour to respond within five business days.

Where a dispute relates to a formal legal engagement, the matter may also be referred to the Lawyers Council of Thailand in accordance with applicable professional conduct procedures.

13. General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any applicable engagement letter, constitute the entire agreement between you and Pikul Family relating to your use of this website and the Services, and supersede any prior communications on those matters.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it at a later time.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may transfer our obligations where there is a change in the firm's structure, subject to applicable professional obligations.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, applicable law, or professional obligations. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

Material changes will be communicated via a notice on our website. Your continued use of the website or Services after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should discontinue use of the website and contact us to discuss any active engagement.
